Junior Achievement of the High Plains presented Fermi America with a “Key to the City” at Amarillo ISD’s AmTech Career Academy Tuesday.
Junior Achievement of the High Plains Executive Director Kasey Long says the sponsorship aims to expand hands-on educational programs through JA BizTown.
“We are thrilled to partner with Fermi,” said Long. “This vital funding will allow us to deepen the exposure our Panhandle students have to a healthy, thriving community where success is modeled through a real-life, hands-on approach. This critical experience gets students actively thinking about their futures and the role they play in their communities.”
Fermi is developing an artificial intelligence campus in Carson County.
“The amazing work that JA BizTown is doing — teaching the next generation of our children how to be good citizens, business owners, volunteers and employees — is critical in developing our young people into great West Texans. Fermi is humbled to support this project, unlocking the human potential of our children for the future of the region,” said Cathy Landroop, Fermi America community relations.
